James and his family came from Taiwan in 1979 and settled in Sunnyvale. He attended Cupertino Jr High and Homestead High Schools in the 80s. After graduating from UCLA with degree in Education Psychology, James taught ESL classes in 2nd and 3rd grades in Hollenbeck Elementary School from 1991 to 1992. He then received his real estate license in 1992 and became one of the youngest men serving the Valley. After encouragement from his loyal clients and family, James moved his office from Santa Clara to Saratoga in 1999. Since then, he has been awarded several top achievements from Century 21 Fine Homes & Estates/Seville Contempo, Cendent Mobility Corp, and the Coldwell Banker Corporation.
With much enthusiasm from education background, James maintains his humbleness when helping clients making perhaps the biggest investment decisions in their lives. He shares his honest opinion and advice without pressuring. He would often alert his clients on potential pitfalls or stop them from making wrong choices. His clients range from $200,000 first-timers to $15 million CEOs, with 90% of his business referred by his friends or his past clients. James believes in old school, personal touch in handling every detail in analyzing, marketing, researching / investigating, and positioning clients’ real estate need. We were planning to pull equity out from our home and invest in real estate back in 2004 because houses were appreciating nearly 10% a year. James, who had helped us buying our current home in 1994, advised us NOT to do so. He believed that the market could see some correction, and that we might end up losing on both ends. Long and behold, he was right on. We don’t know any agent who wouldn't want to make money in selling real estate. James put our best interest way above his own. His intuition, honesty, experience, and integrity really helped us to keep more than just tangible assets. I know people have lost money, houses, and families out there during the housing bubble.
